Meshweyla is a smart and conscientious leader.  She is practical but sees potential and finds innovative ways of solving problems within a constrained budget. She is very approachable and focuses on ensuring things work efficiently, effectively and on budget.  I’m thrilled to recommend Meshweyla as a candidate for the Waikato Regional Council.

I am very pleased to be able to write this letter of endorsement on behalf of Meshweyla Macdonald, a very close friend and academic co-worker of mine who I have known for the past fifteen years. Meshweyla and I share very similar viewpoints on this country, its environment, strategic community infrastructure needs and I have always been impressed with her depth of
knowledge and critical thinking ability and her professional standing in the community on these sorts of matters.
If you think for a moment about the climate issues, decarbonisation, sustainability, zero emissions, zero waste, resilience, declining biodiversity, clean water issues, species loss, significant changes to the agriculture industry, and the massive changes to the automotive, transportation industry
and infrastructure then one can see easily that the global questions for the next several decades are characterised by deep complexity. This is especially so for the regional councils of this country and I cannot see anyone that has the foresighting strengths able to unpack the complex ‘unknown unknowns’ and waves of change any better than Meshweyla. It is this attribute that I
admire the most about Meshweyla.
Without doubt her contribution to the near future business of the Waikato Regional Council will be profound and this fact should not be missed by the voters.

I can highly recommend Meshweyla as a great candidate to represent us at the Waikato Regional Council.  Meshweyla is intelligent and talented.  She seeks the best results for the most people but is also practical about what is realistically possible.  She looks for better ways of doing things and listens to people for their ideas and perspectives.  She is not afraid to stand up for things she believes in and works hard to get the job done.
